Editorial Policy
Editorial policy: how every SEO guide is researched, checked and updated
Every guide on dilbdrbk.com.np is built from primary sources, checked claim by claim and approved by Dil Bahadur B.K. before it goes live. This policy shows the source order, the checks, the role of AI and the way errors get corrected.
Effective
01 Author
Who writes the content on this site?
Dil Bahadur B.K., a semantic SEO consultant from Nepal, writes and approves every guide on this site. I have worked in SEO since December 2023, and I apply Koray Tugberk Gubur's topical authority methodology, which I learned and use on live projects.
Each guide shows my name, a published date and, after a real change, an updated date. The author box under every guide links to my About page, my resume and my official profiles, so readers can check who stands behind the content.
02 Sources
Which sources do the guides use, and in what order?
The guides rank sources by how directly they describe Google Search. A higher tier settles a conflict with a lower tier, and every claim names the tier it comes from.
| Tier | Source type | Examples | What it can prove |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Google's own documentation | Search Central guides, the ranking systems guide, spam policies | What Google states about its systems |
| 2 | Dated statements by Google staff | On-record answers from John Mueller and Gary Illyes | What Google said, on a given date |
| 3 | Patents and peer-reviewed research | HITS (1999), Hilltop (2001), Topic-Sensitive PageRank (2002) | How a system can work, not proof that Google uses it |
| 4 | Tool vendors' documentation | Moz, Ahrefs and Semrush metric explanations | How a third-party metric is calculated |
| 5 | Practitioner methodology | Holistic SEO and Koray Tugberk Gubur's published work | A tested framework, labeled as practitioner work |
| 6 | Leaked or unofficial documents | The 2024 Google API documentation leak | That an attribute exists, not how much it weighs |
Holistic SEO is the main practitioner source for semantic SEO topics, and every idea taken from it is rewritten in original wording with a link back. Anonymous forum posts, AI answers and unsourced listicles never serve as evidence for a claim.
03 Checks
How is each claim checked before publishing?
Every factual claim is traced to the page that states it, opened and read before the guide goes live. A claim that no source supports is removed or narrowed to what the evidence shows.
- Numbers are quoted exactly as the source gives them, such as a score range or a study's sample size.
- Statements carry the speaker, the date and a link to the original post or recording.
- Named entities, such as companies, tools and algorithms, are confirmed to exist and, where an identifier exists, matched to Wikidata in the page's structured data.
- Dates and versions come from the source page itself, such as a documentation page's last-updated date.
- Conflicting sources are reported side by side, with the higher tier named as the stronger evidence.
Every guide links the sources behind its claims, and the newer guides end with a references list grouped by source type.
04 Attribution
How do the guides separate fact, interpretation and experience?
Each sentence signals where its claim comes from, so a reader can weigh it. The wording follows four fixed patterns.
- "Google states" marks tier 1 and tier 2 evidence.
- "Research shows" marks patents and papers, which describe possible systems.
- "Practitioners report" marks methodology and case studies from SEO professionals.
- "In my work" marks my own experience, which never stands in for evidence.
Examples in the guides, such as the Everest Base Camp trek topical map, are illustrations built for teaching. They are not client results, and no guide invents a case study, a traffic number or a testimonial.
05 AI use
How is AI used in writing the guides?
AI assistants support the research and drafting of guides on this site. They gather candidate sources, propose outlines and first drafts, and check drafts against the site's writing rules, such as paragraph length and banned filler words.
AI output never counts as a source. Every claim in an AI-assisted draft is checked against the original document, and I review and approve each guide before it is published. The free tools in the guides, such as the topical coverage checker, are original code that runs in your browser.
06 Structure
How are the guides structured for readers and search engines?
Each guide covers one topic and opens with a direct answer to its main question. Every section starts with the answer, then gives the evidence, the example and the steps.
- Headings follow the questions people search, such as "What is entity SEO?"
- Comparisons sit in tables, and processes sit in numbered steps.
- Structured data names the author, the topics and the entities a guide covers.
- Internal links connect each guide to the related guides and services on the site.
07 Updates
How are guides updated and errors corrected?
Guides are reviewed when a cited source changes, such as an updated Google documentation page or a new public statement from Google. A guide shows an updated date only after a change to its facts or substance, never after a cosmetic edit.
Readers can report an error by emailing [email protected] with the page URL, the statement and a source. I check the report against the source, correct the guide when the report holds, and cite the source behind the corrected statement.
08 Independence
Is the content sponsored or influenced by advertisers?
No. The site publishes no sponsored posts, carries no affiliate links and accepts no payment for mentioning a tool, a company or a person. Tools appear in a guide only because they explain a concept or solve a step, such as Google Search Console for measuring impressions.
I work in SEO professionally, and the guides use no client data or confidential information from that work. The site also promotes my own SEO services, and every promotional section is marked by its call to action, such as "Hire Me".
