Expertise
SEO expertise, from entities to AI answers
Semantic SEO is my specialty. It works because it sits on top of the fundamentals: technical health, strong pages, local signals and links. These are the twelve areas I work in.
01 Core
Semantic & entity SEO
I take a holistic approach to semantic SEO. The goal is to establish a website as a leading authority within its niche: define the central entity, connect its attributes and related entities, and give every page one clear topic and intent.
This approach follows Koray Tugberk Gubur's advanced topical authority methodology, which I learned and apply in my work.
02 Core
Topical maps & content strategy
I design topical maps and content architectures that cover a niche in depth, which strengthens a site's authority and relevance. Content strategy pairs entity-based optimization with well-structured briefs, so each page satisfies both search intent and semantic relevance.
03 Foundation
Technical SEO
Technical SEO is part of every strategy I run, from crawl and indexing issues to site and information architecture. I have executed technical fixes and developed technical SEO strategies that increase organic traffic.
04 Foundation
On-page SEO
On-page work covers titles, headings, copy, internal links and page structure. I have optimized e-commerce category and product pages and the information architecture around them, so the right page answers the right query.
05 Foundation
Local SEO
For service businesses I manage Google Business Profiles, create citations and set local SEO strategy. Local niches I have worked in include plumbing, HVAC, flooring, fencing, pest control and home improvement.
06 Foundation
Off-page SEO & link building
My SEO career started with Google stacking, off-page link building and citation building for local campaigns. Today off-page work reinforces the topical authority established on the site itself.
07 Foundation
Keyword research
Keyword research comes before every map and every page: find the queries, group them by intent, and assign each group to the page that should rank for it.
08 Scale
Programmatic SEO
I design and deploy programmatic SEO systems that scale content across large keyword sets.
09 AI search
GEO, AEO & AI search optimization
Search now happens inside AI answers too. I optimize for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), structuring content and entities so brands surface within AI-generated answers on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews.
10 AI search
Reddit SEO
Reddit has become a strong ranking and reference source in both Google and AI search. I use strategic community participation, discussion-driven content and brand mentions to earn topical relevance, referral traffic and visibility in traditional and AI-generated results.
11 Research
SEO patents & whitepaper research
I research search engine patents, research papers and whitepapers to identify emerging ranking signals, algorithmic priorities and advances in semantic search. I read official statements from search engines critically, as one source among several, and translate complex search and NLP findings into SEO strategy that fits how Google's systems are changing.
I also check algorithm volatility every day with sensors such as Semrush Sensor and AccuRanker's Grump, so updates are spotted early.
12 Research
SEO hypothesis testing
Much of my SEO knowledge comes from testing, and A/B testing is how I separate SEO myths from facts. I regularly run experiments on AI-generated content, exact match domains (EMDs) and technical variables to validate what actually moves rankings, and refine my strategies from the results.
13 Glossary
The words behind the work
The terms I use when I plan and explain SEO work.
- Central entity
- The main subject a website is about. Every page should connect back to it, so search engines can tell what the site is an authority on.
- Source context
- Why the website exists and how it earns. It decides which attributes of the central entity matter most and how deep each one should go.
- Attribute
- A property of an entity, such as its types, cost, problems, location or brands. Attributes become the sections and pages of a topical map.
- Topical map
- A planned structure of every topic and subtopic a site should cover, which of them deserve their own page, and how the pages link to each other.
- Core and outer section
- The core section holds the topics closest to how the business earns. The outer section holds related topics that build relevance and link back to the core.
- Macro and micro context
- The macro context is the one main topic of a page. Micro contexts are the supporting subtopics inside it. A page should keep a single macro context.
- Contextual coverage
- How completely a page or site answers the questions that belong to its topic, including the questions people ask next.
- Query network
- The group of related searches around one need: the main query, its variations, and the questions people ask before and after it.
- Cost of retrieval
- The effort a search engine spends to crawl, understand and rank a page. Clean structure, clear answers and less wasted content lower it.
- Query fan-out
- How AI search splits one question into several smaller searches, reads the results, and combines them into a single answer.
- Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
- Optimizing content and entities so a brand is used and cited in AI-generated answers on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews.
- Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
- Structuring content so a passage can be lifted as a direct answer in featured snippets, voice results or AI answers.
- Exact match domain (EMD)
- A domain name that matches a target search query word for word. How much it still helps is one of the variables I test.
- Google stacking
- Building a set of interlinked Google properties, such as Sites, Docs, Sheets and Drive files, around a business to support its brand and local signals.
